“Rires du Monde”: Canadian TV Documentary Series (10 x 60, TV5)

Rires Du Monde filmed in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

“Rire du Monde” is a documentary series that explores and examines what makes people laugh in different countries. This particular 60 minute episode, shot in India, explored its comedy culture.

For this unusual and exciting episode I consulted with the production house for the comedians they were keen to shoot with in India. Artist availability for the shoot was secured. Permissions and licenses were obtained to shoot with artists on the sets of popular shows such as “ Comedy nights with Kapil” hosted by Kapil Sharma, “The other week that wasn’t” hosted by Cyrus Broacha and Kunal Vijaykar as well as with other top comedians in India such as Kaneez Surka, AIB, Aditi Mittal and East India Company.

Further I also scouted laughter clubs around the city and acquired the permissions to film inside the Worli Police Camp during a laughter yoga session organised for the Mumbai police. Apart from this, I managed the shooting schedules and accompanied the crew for the entire shoot period. This ensured that the filming was carried out without interruptions.
